    1) Namya fears darkness.  (dark => darkness l'obscurité)

    2) Laughing is the best medicine (gérondif  = laughing = Rire)

    3) The tortoise won the race. (to win won = gagner au prétérit. the run = the race = la course ) (ou "the run"...)

    4) What is the  length of this room? (long = length = longueur

    5) We get heat and light from the sun​ (hot = the heat = la chaleur)
